Enterprise website redesign | 2024
Visual design, benchmarking, wireframes, responsive components, and screen design for a large-scale enterprise website.
Context
Union Pacific is one of the largest freight railroads in the United States, connecting 23 states and supporting key industries across the western two-thirds of the country.
The redesign needed to support many content types, from service pages and routes to articles, media releases, contact flows, social modules, and institutional storytelling.
Contribution
Reviewed common enterprise website patterns and content sections before moving into detailed design.
Created wireframes to validate functionality, hierarchy, and section requirements across key pages.
Designed the majority of screens for review and approval using the project design system components.
Supported the definition and validation of new components and responsive variants.
Full-page system
Responsive behavior
Responsive components
The component work helped keep the experience consistent while allowing enough flexibility for editorial, service, contact, and storytelling needs.
Outcome
The final screen set and component variants created a clearer direction for a complex enterprise site, supporting stakeholder review, approval, and development handoff.
The strongest part of the work is not only the finished screens, but the modular thinking behind them: responsive sections, reusable patterns, and a consistent visual system across many types of content.
